KABUL, Afghanistan --"A Taliban attack against a popular Kabul restaurant killed 21 people, authorities said Saturday, making it the deadliest single attack against foreign civilians in the course of a nearly 13-year U.S.-led war there which is approaching its end."
We have received word from our IASAS (International Association of Student Affairs and Services, ACPA is a co-founding member) colleagues that two of the Americans killed were employed by the American University of Afghanistan and one worked in Student Affairs. Names are being withheld until the proper contacts have been made with next of kin.
Please keep our colleagues in war torn areas around the world in your thoughts and prayers.
More information will be shared as it is received. Read more.
