In a much awaited high court ruling, the US Supreme Court in a 7-1 decision, handed down its ruling in Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin (UT), ordering lower courts to take another look at the challenge to the University of Texas's use of race and ethnicity in its admissions process.

For the past 90 years, ACPA's core value of "Equity and Inclusion" has focused on all aspects of student development and the Association remains committed now more than ever as the discrimination in access still remains on some of our campuses. ACPA will continue to monitor this case and bring new information to you as it is released.

ACPA in partnership with American Council on Education and other higher education associations (many in the Washington Higher Education Secretariat), signed on to an Amicus Brief earlier this year in opposition to the Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin case.
