Known as a city that embraces possibilities, Louisville, Kentucky, provided a great backdrop for scholars and practitioners to come together, learn and connect about high-impact practices in the field, transitions and civility on campus through keynote addresses from Van Jones and Lisa Ling, and  other educational sessions linked to the critical issues.  At the Opening Session on March 25, Mr. Muhammad Ali was awarded with the first ACPA Humanitarian Award for his commitment to racial equality and civil rights. In addition, ACPA partnered with the Louisville Chapter of the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts after the tornado system that swept through the region three weeks prior to the ACPA Convention.
