Katie Busby

Assistant Provost for Assessment and Institutional Research at Tulane University

Katie Busby is the Assistant Provost for Assessment and Institutional Research at Tulane University. She provides leadership, vision, and direction for the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research (OAIR) and is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing campus-wide assessment and accreditation activities. Prior to joining Tulane in spring 2009, Dr. Busby served as the Director of Student Affairs Assessment and Planning at The University of Alabama, and held a similar position at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). She spent five years as a member of the mathematics faculty at Baylor University and four years as a student affairs practitioner at James Madison University. Her research interests include measures of student development and leadership, instrument development, and validity issues. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in mathematics from University of Mississippi and earned her Ph.D. in Assessment and Measurement at James Madison University. She is editor-elect of Research & Practice in Assessment, program chair for the Measurement and Assessment in Higher Education SIG of the American Educational Research Association, and is a past member of the ACPA Commission on Assessment and Evaluation Directorate.

Robert Aaron

Director of Student Affairs Assessment and Planning at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)

Robert Aaron serves as Director of Student Affairs Assessment and Planning at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), where he also is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Indiana University higher education program. Previously he served as Client Services Manager for the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), and he held positions in new student orientation and fraternity/sorority life, both at Virginia Commonwealth University. He earned a Ph.D. in higher education from Indiana University, an M.A. in higher education from The Ohio State University, and a B.A. in music from University of Rochester.

Martha Glass

Associate Director of Administration for Assessment and Professional Development

Martha Glass is the associate director of administration for assessment and professional development. In this capacity she coordinates assessment for 21 department to develop and implement outcomes based assessment strategies that lead to continuous improvement of programs and services that support student learning. She also assists with strategic planning and accreditation activities and serves as a member of the DSA Leadership Team.  Most recently, she was asked to develop a vision and plan for division-wide professional development initiatives. Dr. Glass holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in Higher Education from Virginia Tech.  She also teaches in the Higher Education program at Virginia Tech.  She is a member of the ACPA Commission on Assessment and Evaluation Directorate.

Amanda Knerr

Executive Director for Residential Life and Housing at Indiana State University

Amanda is the Executive Director for Residential Life and Housing at Indiana State University.  She has previously held positions at The Pennsylvania State University and the University of Alaska Southeast, Juneau.  Amanda is serving as the Chair for ACPA’s Commission for Assessment and Evaluation.  She is currently working on completing her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.   Her research interests include the impact of engaged scholarship in undergraduate education, sustainability, and development of assessment culture.  Amanda has been an invited faculty member and presenter for many different assessment conferences including the First Year Assessment Conference, ACPA’s Assessment Institute, and several past Residential Curriculum Institutes.

Victoria Livingston

Assistant Director of Planning & Assessment at Northern Illinois University

Victoria Livingston is currently the Assistant Director of Planning & Assessment at Northern Illinois University. She graduated with a M.S. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Akron and a B.A. in Political Science and History from Ashland University. Victoria is also a member of ACPA’s Commission for Assessment and Evaluation.

Kristen McKinney

Director for UCLA’s Student Affairs Information and Research Office

Kristen McKinney holds a doctorate in Higher Education and Organizational Change from the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. She has an extensive background in institutional research and assessment including work in both academic and student affairs arenas. Currently, Dr. McKinney serves as the Director for UCLA’s Student Affairs Information and Research Office. Dr. McKinney is the chair-elect of ACPA’s Commission for Assessment and Evaluation.

Kyle Tschepikow

Director of Student Affairs Assessment and Staff Development

Dr. Kyle Tschepikow serves as the Director of Student Affairs Assessment and Staff Development in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Georgia.  He received a B.A. in English Literature from Henderson State University in Arkansas and an M.A. in the same subject from the University of Wales, Bangor in Great Britain.  He received a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia. His previous positions include serving as the Director of Residence Life and Chief Judicial Affairs Officer at the University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia.

Jen Wells

Director of Assessment in the Division of Student Success at Kennesaw State University

Jen Wells is the Director of Assessment in the Division of Student Success at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.  She received her B.A. in German and History from Albion College in Michigan and an M.A. in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University.  Prior to Kennesaw, Jen attended the University of Georgia as a full-time doctoral student in the College Student Affairs Administration Program and is happily anticipating her completion.  Jen is also actively involved with the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) where she works with their linkage project, Wiki page, standards revision and creation processes, and is currently working diligently on the 2012 CAS Book due later this summer. 

Jaime Williams

Assistant Director of Leadership Learning at Virginia Tech

Jaime Williams, M.A.Ed. is the Assistant Director of Leadership Learning at Virginia Tech. As a team member in the Leadership Education Collaborative, Jaime provides guidance and advisement to the Student Government Association and the Leadership Tech peer mentoring program. She also serves the Division of Student Affairs by coordinating assessment planning and implementation in her own department as well as for the department of Student Centers and Activities. Jaime serves on the division of student affairs strategic plan implementation committee and is active in training her colleagues in assessment.

Vicki Wise

Director for Assessment & Research at Portland State University

Vicki Wise serves as Director for Assessment & Research at Portland State University.  She oversees assessment, planning, and reporting for the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs. Prior to PSU, she held the positions of Director of Assessment and Evaluation for the College of Education, Assistant Director for Institutional Research, and Assistant Professor/Research Administrator in the Center for Assessment and Research Studies all at James Madison University. She earned her Ph.D. and M.A. degrees at the University of Nebraska in Psychological and Cultural Studies and Educational Psychology, respectively.
