ACPA—College Student Educators International has recently signed on with the American Council on Education (ACE) advocating for a revision of the recent Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
ACPA stands in partnership with many higher education associations in strong support of gainful employment regulations that would render ineligible for Title IV federal financial aid those educational programs that do not serve their students well. Under the current proposal, there is a need for greater clarity around the data that is most meaningful for student use in determining college attendance, strengthened metrics to measure program performance, and realistic thresholds by which to screen institutions. ACPA supports the recommendations outlined in the attached letter from ACE to the Department of Education.
