Dear ACPA Members -

I am excited to announce the Presidential Symposium on Racism, Recovery, and Racial Justice, co-sponsored by ACPA and ASHE and hosted by the USC Race and Equity Center, on 22 January, 2018. The on-site event at USC will take place from 10am-5pm PT, and the Live Stream Event will take place from 10am-2pm PT (1pm-5pm ET).

You may recall in my Presidential Address at 2017 Convention, I shared 5 goals during my tenure as President. The Presidential Symposium centers one of these goals--focusing on healing and self-care, as we work to take care of ourselves and heal in the midst of so much pain and oppression in the world. It also enables ACPA members to engage with us virtually, as we work to concretize the Strategic Imperative for Racial Justice and Decolonization.

I encourage graduate preparation programs and student affairs divisions to gather students and/or colleagues to watch the livestream. The virtual engagement experience will include discussion questions and other resources.

Registration is now open. Click here to register today! I hope you will make plans to join us in January.

Sincerely,

Stephen John Quaye
ACPA President
