The sustainability of our projects and initiatives at the ACPA takes great precedence in the operations and structure. ACPA’s Sustainability Advisory Committee serves to facilitate the successful design, implementation and evaluation of the Triple Bottom Line (social justice, healthy environments and strong economies). Through this initiative, we aim to promote and support sustainability education, policies, and practices throughout ACPA. Members of the Advisory Committee recommend sustainability educational programming and scholarship for ACPA membership to advance members knowledge, skills and awareness on sustainability and provide them with the tools necessary to make change on their campuses. In addition, the Sustainability Advisory Committee seeks to identify and advise ACPA regarding practices and policies to allow Association to function as a more sustainable organization.

As one of the several association co-founders of the Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium (HEAC) a part of the  U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development, ACPA plays a key role in the consortium by emphasizing the student development approach to teaching and learning with the national higher education community.

ACPA is committed to the advancement of healthy and sustainable communities throughout the world.
