Mid-Level Community of Practice

Hey Everyone! I just emailed all of MLCOP in ACPA. There are a bunch of fast approaching dates. Here is what I wrote:

Happy December Mid-Level Community of Practice!

I hope this finds everyone ending the semester well and planning on a relaxing holiday season. This is a quick email to throw out some fast approaching dates (I hope these are just reminders for many of you).

1. Next Article Discussion is Thursday December 11th from 3pm to 4pm Eastern. It is on the short article in About Campus called "Stop Asking Students to Strongly Agree: Let's Directly Measure Cocurricular Learning. Look up the article and join the discussion on our Facebook Page and/or on Twitter using ‪#‎MLCOPACPA‬. Be sure to make time for this article event.

2. Deadline is Monday December 8th (This Monday). Unique Opportunity for Mid-Levels at the Tampa Convention. We are being asked to help moderate/facilitate the new Exceptional Practices sessions in Tampa. It is two presenters for 20 minutes at a time and then 20 minutes of question and answer. The Convention Team are asking if any Mid-Level Professionals could be at each session to keep time, move the session along, and facilitate the question and answer. We are looking for 20-30 Mid-Levels to help out. Go to http://www.signupgenius.com/…/10c084ca9a92fa2f49-exceptional to sign up. Once signed up, there will be a follow up sign up for specific dates, times, and locations. I hope there is interest...this is a great opportunity for us. We have 9 spaces left...sign up fast.

3. Deadline Monday December 8th (This Monday): Interested in being on the Mid-Level Community of Practice Directorate? The Directorate is our leadership decision making body of the community of practice. We will start looking for nominations this Thursday November 20th to Monday December 8th. We will decide on an election schedule once we see how many nominations we get. Remember, you can self nominate. To nominate, go to https://docs.google.com/…/1o3tIosuASATcArAFDRMDLak…/viewform Help shape the direction for the Mid-Level Community of Practice and nominate yourself or somebody else to be on the Directorate...it is a great experience.

***There will be another Mid Level Meet Up on Skype in early January and we are currently planning a whole webinar series!

As always, feel free to email me with your questions or concerns. Have a great break and holiday season.
