Patrick "PT" Jones
Patrick T. Jones is currently an Assistant Director for Housing and Residence Life at the University of Chicago. His main areas of focus in this position are managing the community life aspects of a 780-person building, supervising 32 professional and paraprofessional staff, advising student leadership initiatives, and engaging prospective students in conjunction with the Office of Admissions.
Patrick has worked in higher education off-and-on since 2007. He has worked in Housing and Residence Life at the College of Charleston, Virginia Tech, Tulane University, and Texas A&M University. His last position was the Assistant Director for the Office of Neighborhood Life at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. While at Georgetown he served as chair of the division-wide mentoring committee, and was an active member of the International Town Gown Association (ITGA). He also received the Georgetown University President’s Excellence Award for his commitment to town/gown relations.
Patrick’s passion areas revolve around student leadership development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as understanding education policy and research. He has a bachelor’s of science in political science from Francis Marion University, and a master’s of arts in education and a certificate in political research from Virginia Tech.
Troy L. Seppelt
Troy, currently in his 19th year as a student affairs educator, serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In these roles, he supervises the Office of the Dean of Students in their role addressing students in crisis, the student conduct process, and coordination of student support services; the Center for Prevention which focuses on both AODA and interpersonal violence education and prevention; the Counseling Center; and the Student Health Service. Troy also serves as the University Clery Compliance Office and Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Within ACPA, Troy has served on the Directorate Body for the Commission for Housing and Residential Life, to include serving as Chair for CHRL. Lastly, he has served as a member of the planning team and faculty for the ACPA Residential Curriculum Institute.
