Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education

Welcome to the ACPA Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education blog.

The ACPA CASHE blog was developed to promote critical academic inquiry, scholarship, and showcase transformative work developed by our colleagues across the county. Created by and for professionals associated with student academic support in higher education, this forum serves as an opportunity for scholars and practitioners to share innovative ideas in an accessible manner.

Much of the blog content posted here will posit critical thoughts and perspectives relating to the success and support of students, yet this blog is not solely a space for academic advisors and academic support professionals. In fact, we strongly encourage dialogue regarding the intersections of academic support and other avenues through which students experience the collegial environment beyond coursework.

Every semester, the ACPA CASHE blog sign up document will be updated. This call for submissions will clearly outline the requirements for submissions and posting. Should you find yourself ready to submit but believe your idea does not fall within the parameters set forth, don’t worry; we are always looking for creative ways to engage members. For assistance with such posts, please contact us using the contact form on the commission website main page.

The CASHE directorate team strongly encourages blog submissions to meet a 500-1000 word count requirement, display a clear connection to academic support and advising, and for flexibility of submissions as the directorate team reserves the right to choose articles for publication. Any student, professional, or organization and entity associated with ACPA who can draw clear connections to academic support in higher education is encouraged to submit.

If you have any questions regarding the blog, please e-mail us at ACPA.CASHE@gmail.com. If you’re ready to sign up, please do so here: *CASHE BLOG SIGN UP*
