SCLGBTA Social and Dance/Big Give Silent Auction

The annual SCLGBTA Social and Dance went extremely well this year. DJ Knatye spun for us all night long playing new and old hits and everybody's favorite line dances; he was also our DJ post the drag show in Cabaret.  The SCLGBTA Social and Dance was partnered with The Big Give silent auction was held during the 2014 ACPA Convention on Monday, March 31^st. This year, the auction featured a variety of items including university apparel, artwork, rainbow flags, jewelry, and merchandise donated by the Human Rights Campaign. With your help, the SCLGBTA raised over $800 for the SCLGBTA grant, which recognizes and provides financial assistance to colleges and universities for their efforts to educate, support and provide LGBTQI specific programming and development on individual campuses. The recipient of the grant is determined by the institutions’ commitment to raising awareness, providing advocacy, and implementing educational opportunities for LGBTQI students, faculty, and staff within the campus community.
