Matthew Antonio Bosch
Serving as Director of the Gender & LGBTQIA Center (Elon University, North Carolina), Bosch’s position reports to both Academic Affairs and Student Life, active with several institutional change committees including the Presidential LGBTQIA Task Force, LGBTQIA Employee Resource Group, First-Year Advisory Committee, Provost’s Inclusive Community Team, Vice President’s Council, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies Advisory Council. Previously during his decade in Minnesota, Bosch served as Chief Diversity Officer for North Hennepin Community College where he was selected as “Top 25 Latino Leaders in Minnesota” by the MN Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. His professional background spans across community colleges, 4-year public, and 4-year private universities, including 15 years of nonprofit board experience.
Across his 15 years as an ACPA member, Bosch was elected by the membership to serve 6 years on the national governing board of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) following a 3-year term as President of the Minnesota College Personnel Association. In keeping relevant and connected to emerging trends across higher education, he has hosted conference presentations at multiple ACPA Conventions, led State Chapters as Assembly Coordinator, and has led higher education consulting in Florida, Kentucky, Illinois, North Carolina, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Maryland, California, and Arizona.
A first-generation college graduate of Harvard University and Cornell University, Bosch brings humor, authenticity, and intersectional identities across race, class, gender, and sexuality to discussions of inclusion and leadership on college campuses. He is currently pursuing his Ed.D. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
