Annually in the fall semester, the Coalition for Men and Masculinities collects nominations for our annual awards process. Winners are announced in mid-December and awarded at the next ACPA Convention.

 

Our award descriptions are below along with past recipients:

Harry Canon Outstanding Professional Award - This award is given to a professional who has contributed significantly to the developmental theory or practice of men's development within the context of higher education. The individual must have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the promotion of men's development. The nominee must be a current member of ACPA.

Tracy Davis Emerging Research Award - This award is given to graduate student or faculty/staff member (1 - 5 years of professional experience) who has produced excellent scholarship related to men and masculinities.

Outstanding Men's Program Award - This award is given to a program or intervention at an institution of higher education that has had a positive impact on men's development.

Outstanding Graduate/New Professional Award - This award is given to a current graduate student or post-graduate new professional (working in field between 1-3 years) who has shown interest in and contributed to men's development within the context of higher education.

Outstanding Research Award - This award is given to an individual who has completed exceptional journal quality research regarding men's development. The nominee must be a current member of ACPA to be considered.
