Commission for Student Involvement

                                                                                                                                                                                        Welcome to the Interchange!

Welcome to the Interchange! The Interchange is the publication for ACPA’s Commission for Student Involvement (CSI). Within ACPA, the Commission for Student Involvement is committed to creating a community for Student Affairs professionals who work in or are interested in the functional areas of Leadership Education, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Service-Learning and Volunteer programs, and Student Organizations and Activities.

The Interchange is a blog for the Commission for Student Involvement

(CSI). It is meant to be practitioner focused, offering new, innovative ways to approach the

work of student involvement and the four functional areas the CSI oversees. In short, the Interchange presents content that informs practice. The Interchange is a great, low-risk, publication opportunity for graduate students and Student Affairs practitioners.

This year, the Interchange has moved to a blog format. Historically, the CSI has created a hard copy version of the publication to share with CSI members. In moving to a blog format, we hope to create a space for CSI members to share ideas, engage with one another, and share content more easily across digital spaces. We strongly encourage any person with an interest or knowledge of topics related to Leadership Education, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Service-Learning and Volunteer programs, and Student Organizations and Activities to submit a piece to the Interchange. Prospective authors can learn more about the process, timeline, and suggested topics here:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/11NzlcvsMKibR-873VoFFCgIsJlNOZ2waQ9CsQeQJR3Q/edit?usp=sharing

We are looking forward to seeing submissions from our members -- feel free to share more about exciting resources, programs, ideas, and research. Our readers range from new graduate students and professionals to faculty and mid to upper-level professionals. We encourage people to consider writing about the things they’re excited by -- there’s a good chance other folks will be excited to! Please email the Vice Chair for Research and Assessment or the Interchange Volunteer.

Best,
